Effective May 6, 2013, all Landlord Tenant (UD) and Small Claims matters from the San Bernardino Civil Division shall be filed and heard in the Fontana District.San Bernardino Civil Unlawful Detainer & Small Claims serviced areas:
Cities of San Bernardino, Colton, Grand Terrace, Loma Linda, Bryn Mawr, Highland, Yucaipa, Redlands, Green Valley Lake, Skyforest, Crestline, Valley of Enchantment, Twin Peaks, Blue Jay, Lake Arrowhead, Arrowbear, Rim Forest, Running Springs, Cedar Glen, Cedar Pines Park, Crestforest, Lake Gregory, Areas of Lake Silverwood, Snow Valley.
Effective May 6, 2013, all Civil Unlimited and Limited matters will be filed and heard in the San Bernardino Civil Division for the following cities, towns or unincorporated areas (See Exceptions below):
Adelanto, Apple Valley, Arrowbear, Baker (including incidents North of WildWash Road on I-15 to state line and incidents West of Kelbaker Road on I-40), Baldwin Lake, Barstow, Big Bear City(including area North of Snow Valley on HWY 330), Big Bear Lake, Big River, Bloomington, Blue Jay, Bryn Mawr, Cedar Glen, Cedar Pines Park, Colton, Crestforest, Crestline, Crestmore, Daggett, Earp, El Mirage, Erwin Lake, Essex, Fawnskin, Fontana, Goffs, Grand Terrace, Green Valley, Havasu Landing, Helendale, Hesperia, Highland, Hinkley, Joshua Tree, Lake Arrowhead, Lake Gregory, Lake Silverwood, Lake Williams, Landers, Lenwood, Loma Linda, Lucerne Valley, Lytle Creek, Moonridge, Morongo Valley, Mt. High, Needles(including Everything East of Kelbaker Road and South of Nipton on I-40, Parker Dam, Phelan, Pinon Hills, Pioneertown, Oak Hills, Oro Grande, Redlands, Rialto, Rim Forest, Running Springs, San Bernardino, Skyforest, Snow Valley, Sugarloaf, Trona, Twentynine Palms, Twin Peaks, Valley of Enchantment, Victorville, Vidal Junction, Yermo, Yucaipa, Yucca Valley, and Wrightwood.
Harassment Restraining Orders, Workplace Violence, Elder Abuse, Postsecondary School Protective Orders, Name Changes or Petitions for the Return of Firearms as indicated in the Barstow, Big Bear, Joshua Tree, Needles or Victorville Districts.
The court is located in the downtown area of San Bernardino. Due to construction on Interstate 215 please check the SANBAG Website (http://www.sanbag.ca.gov) for freeway off ramp closures.
You may reach the court by using the 215 Freeway in San Bernardino:
- Head East after exiting at Mill Street and head North on Arrowhead Ave;
- Head East after exiting at 2nd Street and head North on Arrowhead Ave; or
- Head East after exiting at 5th Street and go South on Arrowhead Ave
The court is located on the South West corner of Arrowhead Ave and Third Street.
You may reach the court by using the 210 freeway by exiting at “H” Street and turn South on “H” Street to 5th Street, then turn East on 5th Street and turn South on Arrowhead Ave.
You may reach the court by using the 10 freeway in San Bernardino by exiting at Waterman Ave (North). You will head North on Waterman Ave, then head West on 3rd Street to Arrowhead Avenue.
Public Parking is at a premium in down town San Bernardino, please arrive early to find parking. Two hour parking is available in many parking areas.
All day Public Parking is located at:
- The corner of Arrowhead and 2nd Street, behind the SEIU building
- The corner of Mt. View and 4th Street
- The corner of 5th Street and Arrowhead Ave
- A large public parking area is located on the West side of Arrowhead Avenue between 4th Street and 5th Street (just south of the Parole building located on the corner of 5th Street and Arrowhead Avenue)
Drop Box Information
A drop box is located at the front entrance and available for deposit of properly completed documents. Please do not include cash, only checks or money orders are accepted.
NOTE: Any document deposited in this drop box before 4:00 pm will be received on the same date and processed the following business day.
