The Big Bear District clerk’s office is open on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to provide limited non-courtroom services, including non-cash payments, traffic school sign-ups, payment extensions, scheduling of court date and general information.

The Big Bear District provides the option to appear on Traffic, Non-Traffic arraignments and Misdemeanor modifications. These matters are heard at 10:00 a.m. and scheduled through Remote Video Proceedings. To schedule a court hearing, please call (760) 974-3020.

All other Traffic and Non-Traffic Infraction matters, Family Law, Firearms Petitions, Domestic Violence, Adoption, Small Claims, Landlord Tenant, Name Change, and Civil Harassment matters are heard at the Barstow District. For additional information, please see the Barstow District.

Please Note: If you have a request for a Civil Harassment Restraining Order, it can be filed in the Big Bear District on the first Wednesday of the month. Your hearing will be scheduled in Barstow.

At this time, the Self-Help Resource Center offers is offering remote services. They are offering phone services and online services through their DASH portal. Through these services staff may provide practical legal information, answer questions regarding process and procedure, and provide resources and tools to assist with preparing necessary forms. In-person services are expected to resume in the first quarter of 2022.
