Our outreach effort is designed to make the work of the San Bernardino County Superior Court more transparent to the communities we serve.
We do this through our speaker’s bureau, in which members of the judiciary are available to speak to groups of students and adults, to educate them on the value of community participation within the judicial system and the essential role that a strong and independent court system plays in our society.
The speaker’s bureau is comprised of both judges and commissioners, who give presentations at schools, service clubs and organizations, chamber of commerce meetings, community action groups and other public functions. Topics range from jury service and family law to the roles that courts and judges play in our judicial system.
If you are interested in having someone from the Superior Court of San Bernardino County speak to your group or organization, please complete the form below.
Law Day 2020
Nationally recognized on May 1 every year, Law Day is a designated day to celebrate the rule of law, the role of the judiciary, and the importance of civic education.
Since 2015, our Law Day activities have welcomed over 1,000 students each year to engage in discussions, mock trials, courthouse tours, and view real court proceedings.
In 2020, students will participate in school field trips, observe live court proceedings and hear from a panel representing “Women in the Court” while integrating this year’s theme “Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100” from April 27 – May 1, 2020.
